Welcome! Got me my coat yesterday! Folks here seem real nice and they sometimes offer you food.
I think you'll find that many people here had a similar experience. I'm hoping that groups like this reach a critical mass and will convince someone somewhere to get the series back on or another movie made.
Don't know how long this war is going to last but there's always room on the line for one more...

I love threads like this, it just shows how the love of our little 'verse is spreading.
You probably already know this, but just in case...The possibility of us getting a movie sequel is kinda hanging in the balance right now. So we need to spread the word about our favorite show/movie to everyone who will listen. DVD sales of Serenity have been and are still key, so lets keep building that fanbase!

Like so many here I am as well a newby. I carry quite a bit of guilt now though as I feel I helped contribute the the demise of the series. I was a Dark Angel fan and highly upset when they canceled that series to replace it with Firefly and boycotted the Series, unfortunately I realized much too late (3 yrs later) that Serenity and Firefly are 10x better.
I rented the Serenity DVD and watched it and was blown away by the story and characters in it. Like so many other newbies I wanted more and bought the Box Set of Firefly. I now own 2 copies of Firefly and Serenity to lend out to Friends and am constantly trying to get people to watch. I have also gotten my 10 & 5 yr old daughters hooked on the show as much as I am. I am now trying to do my part to vindicate myself, feel much better now that I have that off my chest.
