I like the idea of Mal dying at the end of Serenity III, or whatever they'll call it. Him and Inara finally hook up, the independents finally win, and Mal finally dies, maybe even before they win. It'd be tragic. I love it.

Thanks Hearty, that was a great interview on video. The only part I didn't like was Nathan's idea of killing the Captain after a triology, after Fillion is a huge star, when he's 69 yrs old he will have to come back for "Serenity IV: The Wrath of Jayne".

Nathan is so cool. The interviewer was terrible. Does he print out the same stock questions for everyone he interviews?
You've got to be engaged with people for the interview to be any good. It's an interview, not an interrogation!
I thought he looked a little tired too. It seems like he was struggling to find the word "protagonist" at one point; and i know Nathan isn't dumb.

I think Nathan rocked that interview. That man is really good at telling stories. Ever watch his eyebrows move? I think they're the most expressive part of his face. (And they get me more than the lashes ;)
The interviewer sounded stoned. He really needed to come up with better responses than "wow." "cool." *I* could do better than that, for goodness' sake. Still, Nathan didn't let that get him down.

You know, I think I FINALLY know how to phrase what I want for Nathan.
I wish him a steady paycheck and roles he can be respected for and yet have fun with.
I don't exactly want him a superstar because then he wouldn't belong to just us anymore. *cries at the thought of that* I could never imagine him with millions of screaming fans ready to mob him. He's so gracious in his interviews and I'd hate to see him lose some of that. And if he got too big too fast, I think that would happen. Not because of how he'd react but because of what he'd be forced to do because of security reasons. His own personal safety would be in danger of being compromised and I would never wish that on anyone.
But I DO want him to be happy and well respected in his profession, as well as be paid for something he so obviously loves to do. It's that innocence and wonder that I love seeing in him. He's always excited to be doing what he's doing and that comes across in the intensity with which he portrays his roles.
I love seeing that and I never want him to lose it.

It's in Italian. Why? I don't know.
"Voul" looks like it has the same Latin root as flight or ride, but it should be "Volano" as i read it.
A "bastone" is a baton, rod, stick, etc.
I tentatively believe it to be a reference to either The Will to Power or The Antichrist, wherein Nietzsche confronts the whole Madonna complex; which he breaks down into good woman/bad woman.
I'll let you put the pieces together.

They guy had trouble with women. Just like Freud.
Genius, but Nietzsche lived a lonely life of ill-health, which gives you weird ideas about the opposite gender. However, Nietzsche's speculations on women are almost invariably pulled out of context. (Like i just did) Read Nietzsche before you judge.

The interviewer obviously wasn't remotely interested in the answers nathan was giving.
He'd give a one word answer like "Great" or "Cool" and he wouldn't follow on from anything Nathan had said. He'd just go straight into the next question.
