I just wanted to start a thread for everyone WHO HAS SEEN Slither. So leave your spoiler filled reviews, talk about your favorite moments, quote your favorite lines, ask questions, naturally mention our favorite captain many many times, post any articles you've found about Slither, and just talk about anything Slither related.
Note on language:
Slither is a rated R film for its strong violence but also ITS STRONG LANGUAGE. So be warned that this thread may contain quotes from the movie which contain language. Though all who read this thread should not have a problem with this since the only people who can see Slither (and therefore should be the only people reading this movie spoiler thread) are 17 years or older and/or went to see it with an adult who felt it was alright for their kid to see it. And if you are underage and snuck into the rated R film, well, good for you. I had to do that too. I mean... shame shame? Yea.

Okay, my Slither thoughts/review/favorite moments.
**Contains spoilers and language though I bleep them out just in case a kid is reading this who doesn't know what f**k stands for.**
Also feel free not to read this and just post your thoughts on Slither because I tend to ramble and go off in tangents. Plus, I love to hear myself...type.
I think we're all already aware Nathan is just a naturally funny guy and comedy isn't a problem for him. So of course he was great and is hilarious. But did anyone else especially notice, how well he can still act, pain 
? He's just very good at it. Like in the torture scenes in War Stories, Nathan's scene at the end with the tentacles umm, in him... owww.
Nathan Fillion seizures like no other.
And I very much enjoyed all the cussing. Made everything feel more real. I'm tired of horror movies that try to maintain PG13 ratings by cutting back on cussing. Because if I was experiencing anything that they experienced in Slither, I'd be screaming "WTF?!?!" too. So I definetly felt that reactions were, while very funny and for comedic purposes, actually believable. Sometimes the movie was very gross and graphic, but it was always nicely contrasted with really happy music playing in the with it.

Memorable Moments: Big and Small
-Gregg Henry's first scene was great. I just like the idea of a cussing Mayor in public, because I don't think they exist (or at least I haven't met one) which makes me sad and then makes me wonder if mayors are in fact human and not, aliens.
-The 'Mr. Pibb' scene. I work as a cashier and serve customers drinks and you wouldn't believe the amount of people I get who just get very upset when we don't have their specific brand and type of soda... jesus. So it rang a bell to reality and I laughed my a** off.
-The countdown... not to New Year's but.. to Deer Season. That was great. Call it clique to southern culture or whatever you like, but it was pretty awesome.
-Credits music was great. Just watching them walk through a field of dead bodies everywhere with happy music and then to hear, "baby I love you but leave me the f**k alone."
-When Starla Grant breaks into the locked basement and finds all the dead animal bodies there's a shot where you can see that the Alien/Grant labeled some of the hanging ones "coyote." He labeled h

I saw the film yesterday, and was disappointed to see how empty the theater was. But everyone who was there seemed to really enjoy it, so hopefully word of mouth will get folks in to fill the seats.
Favorite moments? Any scene with the Mayor in it. I especially liked the Mr. Pibb scene that you mentioned.
All in all I thought it was cute. At least as cute as a horror movie can be. Gross, but cute. And Nathan was excellent in it, too.

Hi all.
So, I can't decide if I should see Slither or not. I know this may not exatly be the right place to be posting this concern, but I figure it's a spot guarenteed to have people who've seen it.
I'm pretty squeamish and scare easily. But I LOVE Nathan Fillion. He's awesome. Not only do I want to support him, but I want to see him act more. I scare myself enough without the help of scary movies - but I've also heard/read some reviews where they liken this movie to Shaun of the Dead - which I was able to watch. Granted, it was daylight, it was on my TV screen, and the lights were on. Anyway, I was just wondering if this movie should even be considered for the more faint of heart - or maybe if we should wait for the DVD - or just know in our hearts that if we could, we would see it, but that nobody can do everything.

ACRAZYIVAN, see it but be prepared to hide your eyes a lot!!! Nathan is worth it, as are the scenes with the mayor!
I saw it with my daughter yesterday, an early show, and we were the only ones in the theater. We talked during, ('cause the Special Hell clause about it doesn't apply if you're the only ones there) and enjoyed ourselves immensely. "Oh shit! Did you see that?!?" "Oh no, the cute deer isn't eathing that guy? Watch out Chief!!!" She was going for the gross out factor, I went for our dear Cap'n!!!
It was an overall enjoyable way to spend an hour and half, watching Cap'n Tightpants moon over someone NOT Inara was quite fun.

Hey Ivan. I think the absolute worst gore scene is the one where the guy gets slit down the middle, head to toe, and his entrails spill out. There's a thread aroud here somewhere with a link to that scene. If you can stand that and (spoiler) people merging into a slimy, mutant....man...thing then I say go see it. (end of spoiler)
It's quite entertaining and Greg Henry and the Captain are both great.
As to fav moments, I did like the beggining part were the mayor curses a lot then notices the woman with the small child. He smiles uncomfortably , says hi and they walk away. He then mutteres something about "easy come easy go". That last bit just made it for me.
I have to say too, that I was somewhat disgusted by those...chestical...things that Mutant Grant used to turn folks into wombs.
And was did anyone else think that it was kinda cool that the two ladies were about the toughest characters in the flik. The high school girl even saves our Captains butt from a flesh eating mutant deer. I love the exchange between them after that by the way. " Thanks for saving my ass back there. If I ever tell that story, it'll be the other way around though, okay." "Huh?" "I saved you." "Okay." And it is mentioned again at the end.
Also, did anyone else stick around for the bit after the credits? It wasn't much, just a single scene involving a cat and a piece of what I assume used to be Grant's head. Still, I liked it. Poor kitty.
I could go on but I guess I'll leave room for others to say something.

Saw it yesterday, and it did rock, there were so many browncoats there!
It was bit disgusting, okay, very disgusting, but Nathan Filiion once again carries the western role very well. The only problm I had was that there were no spaceships, but other than that the movie was excellent.

I'd heard there was something, but a battalion of theater cleaners came in before the credits finished and pretty much shooed everyone out. Guess I'll have to wait until the DVD comes out.

I saw it last night & the theatre was pretty full.We really enjoyed it & the crowd seemed to also.Everyone was laughing & squealing & the like.
I couldn't help but smile when Billy decided to leave the grenade behind.It reminded me of Serenity.

Okay, I read SQUID'S comments, and I haven't seen it yet (kinda defeats the purpose of the thread, I know) but I wanted to know what fellow Browncoats thought of it...but somebody tell me, Nathan's character doesn't die does he? Cuz I couldn't take that...Morbin an' creepifiyin I can handle..
