Anyone interested in Making a 3-D Firefly/Serenity ship?

I currently have Maya 7, and even though I'm still a beginner, I'd like to work on a project like this. Does anyone want to colaborate and/or just make some pointers?

If anyone has original plans, or proflie sketches they could send out, that would be helpful.

If you're referring to a Cruiser, please put me in touch with them when it's done. That's one of the ships I still need for EVN Firefly.

ok, i have another question thats straying even further off topic now, Why did they call that ship a Cruiser? cause the term cruiser refers to a Mid - Heavy class ship, just under the battleship in weight class. And since its oviously the biggest ship in the verse, shouldnt it be called a dreadnought, or a mobile Base, or somthing like that.

In my mod, im calling it a "Alliance Mobile Base Station" AMBS

I think the classification system has change, and the biggest ship in the verse is the ark, the only ship left from the journey from the earth-that-was. it is 5 times larger than the Alliance cruiser. The Alliance cruisers cruise the Rim and remind those there who is in charge!!!! But a look at the model would be nice. just to see what detailing was included

I made one and it came out ok but not great. I'm taking a class on 3d modeling now though once i work through it i think i might take another shot at it. Not sure how detailed i'm gonna get but i'm considering modeling the whole thing inside and out, toy dinosaurs and all. Unfortunately though i only have the Maya 7 PLE so i won't be able to do anything with it after outside of Maya. For that reason i may not go as far with the detail as i'd like that way i'll have an excuse to go back to it a third time once i get the full version of Maya
