Actually I didn't include the hood ornament bit because it translated back to itself, more or less, but yep, you got it.

The second one was a giveaway for the first. But I can't remember the exact quotes. The first one's Kaylee's comment about the cow fetus to which Simon replies "You manage to see the good in every single thing", and the second one is Wash telling it that we're a peaceful race shortly afterwards...
Since I didn't get the exact answers I don't think I qualify to give the next one...
