Ripon be damned (if it ain't already) Could be worse, could be going to Birmingham.
I hear certain parts of Yorkshire can be quite pretty. Move the locals out the way and avoid Huddersfield anyway. (am I right in thinking Ripon is in Yorkshire?
After that my guesses are Somerset (are you local?)
And Lancashire (oooh argh *chews straw* etc & etc)
(or am I getting my stereotypes confused as well as my geography?)
as an amusing aside, there was a (rather large chested) girl from Huddersfield in my college class, we used to call her Udders. I was approached in the canteen one time by a scandalised actor who asked something like 'do you call her that causes of her *international sign for tits*?
