[[[Spoilers ahead... careful British friends! ]]]

In my book, "Unleashed" has the best story of the three season five eps we've seen.

A potential recurring character is introduced (a female!) + the Whedon-verse spin on where-wolves expands and shines new light on the phenom by examining how it effects one family.

The Diner's Club idea was twisted but fun. Spike's relationship with Fred is going interesting places and I'm happy she's not falling for his shmoozy lines designed to impress or draw pity.

Oh and the Firefly-esque hanging out in Angel's office ordering Chinese at the end was a nice touch.

Great episode!

I liked it but I thought the end was kind of flat...

'She gave me a smile'...yeah, like that's new. He actually cared that time...?

About that whole Spike/Fred thing, have you noticed, A) the whole Spike trusts only Fred thing. B) we know that Fred and Gunn were together (but are they still?). C) Wes is clearly jealous of Fred's new interests. D) Dropping subtle hints about Angel and Fred. E) Fred and Knox! (My personal favorite pair).

And anyway, this episode reminded me a lot of season one, the way it stood alone and there was a little one-ep-mission and Angel sort of taking a bit of a love interest the way he has in the past.

Saw the preview for next one? Awesome or what?!

I liked the episode, but what I found interesting was that nobody ever mentioned Oz. I mean, it would be just natural to tell her: "being a werewolf doesn't mean you have to be evil. Heck, I know this really nice guy who even managed to keep is werewolfing in check - I believe he uses herbs and meditation. Maybe you should call him up some time..."

I liked it alot

I howled when the host poked fun at Angels weight gain...

Also I felt the move to dark justice ( in leaving the turncoat bit, and held by the diners ) fun. Could this be how the senior partners are going to get to Angel, after all he revealed the same weakness when he let Darla eat a large number of lawyers at a Wolfram and Hart function in a previous season. Will this be the slippery slope ??????

A fun ride

Angel may not have been aware of what Oz had been doing...all he knows is he's gone and Willow's a lesbian...

Hmmm...

I thought he should have been involved too though, even if only being mentioned in passing.

It is a slippery slope but it's also human. Those grey areas where you aren't really doing something right or wrong is what we face everyday.

How many cars do you allow in front of you when the lanes merge? None, one or as many as need to? Those, thankfully tend to be the extent of our moral dilemmas.

Angel as a Champion and immortal and all that faces somewhat different moral dilemmas, but the parallel is there.

Was that Dr. Phlox from Enterprise?
It sure seemed like the same guy.

How did Joss get a star trek character on his
show, only to drag him off to be disgustingly killed? Does this mean something? I hope so!

I believe it's John Billingsley unless I know that name from somewhere else...

I noticed that too...and like his end, I must admit...

Okay, we need an Angel episode with a Wolf-girl and Electro-girl team-up.

Then I'll be a happy camper!
