I realized I was a Browncoat when I sent away my postcards to Faux to save the show. The husband told me I was a nutter.

yep, that's when I knew I could never take the Brown coat off ever again.

Gelassenheit means Serenity

Keep flyin'.

Amen.
I plan on being buried in my brown coat, with my Serenity Valley dogtags.
And living the browncoat ethic until I get there.

PS - I almost streaked though your appeciatin' nathan thread the other night, screaming *ADAM IS A HOTTIE!* but didn't know how you'd all react....

I'll be in Jaynes bunk

Well THIS nathan appreciator thinks Adam IS a hottie (just not as miuch of one as our dear captain) so I'd have laughed and thought you were highly entertaining.

I keep thinking about getting a (simpler than Serenity) tattoo relating to the verse...let me know how yours turns out and if it hurts. ;)

Hey, while we're on the subject of coats, does anyone know where you can get one? If so, do you know how much they are? Thanks in advance folks!

Cool. I didn't even have to ask what you were wearing.

Thanks -- from all the guys, not just myself -- for painting that picture. I hope you are well, and that your hair is an auburn-y brown. Brunettes with just a hint of fire, like strawberries in chocolate sauce...

Lasciviously,

P.S.
I've been a dedicated fan of Mal-licious for going on two years now. Don't reckon I'll be giving up that obsession, either.

How long you reckon upon being a browncoat?

Long after I'm shovin' daisy's skyward.

How many Jaynes does it take to change a light bulb?

Two. One to try to put it in and another to find a bigger hammer.

I was a Browncoat from the first airing of "The Train Job", well before the term had even been coined and I'll die a Browncoat. Not because I'm a joiner, but because I've never had a television show touch me quite the way Firefly did.

Of course, I was "Touched by an Angel", but I showed the prosecutor where on the doll and now that angel is doing 10 years in Attica...

How long would one be a browncoat...good question. I think one needs to look at it from there own point of veiw. Personally, if the darn show did not have such unbeleivanble replay value...ie always something new seen, if you still laugh at the jokes, and if you are entertained everytime, will you ever stop being a browncoat? More importantly, I beleive being a browncoat is more than just being a fan of the show. The show, in its short run, created a since of longing for more that will never be fully realized at least by this poster. That hole in my soul, so to speak, is why I will always be a browncoat. If they had killed everybody off in Serenity, maybe I would be able to move on, however, since they did not, I will always keep my eyes on the horizon even if they do not make any future works until 2035, with Mal in a wheelchair hooked up to an IV.

Browncoat for life, not my fault, I blame the actors, writing/direction of Joss, the music, the lighting, the concept, and ironically FOX for this perdicament.

I was an Alliance for a long time. When I heard the Ballad of Serenity, my life changed to the way of the Browncoat. AND IT"S GONNA STAY THAT WAY, GORRAM IT!
