I know this subject has been discussed in the past, but I just got a new phone that can handle real tunes, and now I am wondering where to get the Firefly/Serenity theme for it. Any ideas?

What make/model is your phone? Can your phone support MP3 ringtones? What part of the theme song do you want? I've got an MP3 of the theme song, and I'd be happy to make a ringtone for a fellow browncoat.

EDIT: I have the series on DVD and I could obtain the audio from the version of the theme song that plays during closing credits as well, if you're interested.

I cut this off after the "burn the land and boil the sea..." line, that's almost 30 seconds into the theme song and I don't know a single phone that won't go to voicemail before that.

My phone is a Nokia 6102. It is new and I am still in the process of playing with it to see what all it can do. I should just asky my 8 year old, I am sure he could show me everything it does in about 5 minutes. LOL

EDIT: I just looked up the specs on my phone and it does support MP3 ringtone format. So how do I get the ringtone then?

I'd either contact Nokia for more information, or your cellular provider, as I'm not familiar with the software/cables needed.

I have browsed through my user's manual and have noticed that I can download through an infrared connection. I get both my pc and phone ready to talk via infrared and it tells me I have to line up the infrared on my phone with my computer. Only problem is I don't know where the infrared port or Com1 port on my pc is. It is a dell Optilex GX270, can anyone advise an apparently computer illiterate person where to find this port so I can line them up and see if it will work?

You need some sort of infrared adapter for your computer, which you probably don't have. A quick googling brought up the following links:

No problemo. I probably won't be as much help with actually getting the files ONTO your phone once you've installed the adapter, since I've never used one of them things before, but if all else fails consult the instructions.
