Date Movie- Thank god I didn't have to pay for that
Matrix Reloaded- nuff said
Brother's Grimm- boring as hell
Brazil- don't get started on that
Undead- terrible Australian zombie flick. Just down right stupid.
Blair Witch Project
Resevoir Dogs- the only movie I fell asleep while watching.
Land of the Dead- dear god oh mighty. that movie was one of the WORST movies I have ever seen.

I'm going to reiterate two points I made earlier.
Battlefield was bad, but it was supposed to be bad. If you take it for the joke it is, it's enjoyable as hell.
The Brothers Grimm wasn't a great movie, but it was decent bordering on good. It had a real nostalgia value and some really creepy scenes. Loved the contrast between a childish atmosphere and adult sequences.
But here's my real question: Am I alone in thinking the first Matrix was a bad movie? Or should I be burned for heresy?

Underworld. I so thought I'd like this.
I was wrong.
Again, style over substance takes hold and produces this. No matter how many shots there are of Kate Beckinsale in that outfit, I can't like this. I even gave it a second chance and watched it on dvd. Still pants.
I hear the sequels better though, so I might give that a shot on dvd
Since you defended three, I don't think it's too much for me to defend one.

I loved Underworld. It's got a solid backstory that's revealed throughout the movie (and the sequel). The story involves a Romeo & Juliet type of forbidden romance, but doesn't overplay it. There's plenty of action, drama, and shots of Kate Beckinsale in that tight outfit. Just a great movie overall. I like how it approaches the idea of vampires and werewolves in the modern world.

Wow.... you hate just about all the movies I like. Well, everyone is entitled to their opinion.
1. Battlefield Earth: I read the book and loved it. I thought it was good book. The movie was a good campy movie, but I was expecting it to be more like the book and serious. So... I was disappointed.
2. Spiderman 2: I love spiderman, he's my favorite hero. The first movie was great, except the ending fight but I can overlook that. The second one just tried to get so many plot lines in and finished that main story was reduced to a couple of fights and a sacrifice. It needed more story and I wish they showed Doc Ock's road to crazy better.
3. Dude, where's my car?: I absolutely hated this movie. A few stupid laughs, but utterly ridiculous. I hate this movie with all my being.

Amazing how opinions differ!
Spiderman 2 greatly exceeded all of my expectations, and I found it much better than the first. IMHO, it did for the Spiderman franchise what X2 did for X-men, setting the bar incredibly high. I do agree that some of the stuff concerning Doc Ock could've been done a little better, but overall I was very impressed with it.

Quote:X2 was just like Spidey 2, the directors didn't retain a clue as to powers or character, and were driven to make a big, expensive sequels FAST!!!

Gimme CHARACTER and story! If I just want to see cools cgi fights, I'll watch Matrix: Revulsions!
I own Spidey and X-men, but I won't own ones that have a '2' after it (I still have hopes for the 3's of both...).
