I agree with you on Van Helsing. It's just a cheesy monster flick. Entertaining in its own over-the-top way. The Brides are fantastic. They stole the movie and they're the reason I can watch it over and over. Well, them and Kate Beckinsale.

1. The Matrix sequels, Reloaded and Revolutions, I thought were disappointing when compared to the first movie. They went off in a completely different, and ultimately unsatisfying, direction than the way the first movie ended.

2. Star Wars prequels. I don't think I have to say anymore.

3. Lord of the Rings... I'm kidding! Those were great movies. My third choice would be videogame adaptations. All of them. So far, gamers have nothing really to be proud of when it comes to seeing the big-screen counterparts of their favorite games, most recently the horrible renditions of Doom and Bloodrayne. Maybe Silent Hill will change that come April 21st, but the greatest hope of seeing a good movie that's based on a game is Halo (coming Summer 2007). With Peter Jackson on board as the producer, it's so far off to a great start.

Argh, only 3???

The Matrix sequels (I count them as one bc the third was just a continuation of the second really) just disappointed me. Never sure why...

Prophecy 3. Just...argh. I love Christopher Walken but I got tired just watching this one. Thankfully 4 & 5 made up for that.

Highlander 2, definitely. I remember renting it as I liked the series and most of the other movies, and I went, wtf?

Okay, let's take an unpleasant trip down memory lane...

1. Matrix Reloaded: no contest; The Matrix had SO MUCH potential for a sequel, and Reloaded is one of the worst and most painful films I have ever seen.

2. Spider-Man: I waited for this movie for about a decade, and the final product was a trite, clichéd, horribly written, fake-looking soap opera. Fortunately, the sequel was an incredibly pleasant surprise; loved it.

3. Episode I: ... pretty much self-explanatory.

My three big letdowns:

1. Blade Trinity. I dug the hell out of Blade 2, but this one was just lame, lame, lame. David Goyer should NOT be directing movies.

2. The Bourne Supremacy. Again, I loved The Bourne Identity, I thought Doug Liman did such a great job with it, so for him to not do the second one was disappointing. If you watch the two films back to back, Supremacy is damn near unwatchable. The camerawork is terrible, the editing is worse. Good story, crap movie. Then instead of this movie, Liman goes and makes that crappy-ass Mr. & Mrs. Smith movie. Dammit.

3. Alien 3. I hate David Fincher. Alien was great, Aliens was better, but Alien 3 was completely terrible. OK, sue me, I liked Alien: Resurrection, but David Fincher wiped his ass with the Alien franchise with this one.

1 The matrix sequels, i waited in line for almost 6 hours to get a ticket to the first sequels, i walked out of there so pissed.
2 SW 1-3, the last 45 mins of revenge of the sith were awsome though.
3 cold mountain, i thought it was going to be a movie about the civil war with nicole kidman! instead it was CHICK FLICK! i have never been so close to walking out of a movie, everytime i stood up to leave some boobies were on screen and kept my attention for the next 30 mins, movie was also was to f*cking long!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Fills all three slots - I hated it so much. They took away everything that was good about my favourite HP book, and (somehow) replaced Hermione with a simpering, girly idiot, who's entire purpose was to look pretty, date Krum and convey messages from Ron to Harry. None of the fiery, friendly girl I adored in the book.

I hated it so much, I'm actually not going to see the rest of the films. If they can destroy that one so badly, I hate to think how terrible 5, 6 & eventually 7 are going to be.

Ok theyre not the worst movies ever, but the potential of the Matrix unvierse was lost IMO

King Kong:
Visually amazing, but the movie IMO was stupid, boring and more SFX then plot and acting

Xmen 2:
