Tash, if I were a more impressionable sort, I'd think you were trying to butter me up for something. but then implying that I draw "chick art" isn't the best way to go about doing that, is it?

You are a great artist and this is a great idea and not "chick art" in any way.

All I am suggesting is that the words "Glow Little Fireflies...Glow" on a t-shirt sounds feminine.

I love t-shirt contention. It's hard to please everyone, isn't it? I just had an epiphany. Imagine the end of a Firefly story in which some of the crew is stranded on a planet, at night, in a very muggy dark area. They need to be found by Serenity right away, but there is no way to signal them... no guns or fire implements, or any way to get the ship's attention. So, of course, they have to gather the only light source at hand, fireflies. In a semi-transparent material they collect them and are able to signal the ship. Now as the ship approaches, slightly illuminating the gloom, imagine the scene and see if you like the idea of making a picture from that. If you like, you can give it a more rough and tumble caption to please the mercenary in all of us.

tricky to tell sometimes when you're sincere, Tash - but that I do believe. Thank you.

it's a good point. I'm not a big fan of titles on T-shirts anyway. if the image can't convey a message, a wordy title isn't going to help. not to mention i hate messing with typefonts. let's just call it the working title - the image will remain the same.

or...how about Sarah's interpretation - "Glow Fireflies, glow!"

This is a new T-shirt idea that recently blossomed in the Tagline thanks to Sarahetc, Maniac, StillShiny and Maguinan. I'll be working up a preliminary sketch in the next week or two, This will be a line drawing (possibly white line on a dark background) so not a lot of detail is required - or at least not my usual level.

IF YOU have a suggestion or an interest in purchasing "Glow Little Fireflies...Glow" please post it here or send me an e-mail. The sketch will appear on my artist page soon - same one as the Firefly Artwork series.

Hey if you don't mind I'll try and out that together on photoshop. I have an idea similar to that which I might make as well. I'll probably have it done by the end of the week. As for the fonts. The font I used on the shirts was Blackadder (I believe) The closest I can find to the official Firefly title font is Nuptial Script and Lucia. However, I believe that the font was customized from one or both of those. If all goes well, I should have it done by next week since I should have some free time this weekend.

Sure, if you like. Wasn't really my idea to begin with, I'm just the instrument of its design. Sarahetc, Maniac, StillShiny and Maguinan might have some say in it - you never know!

Sounds kinda shiny to me. Channain has a real artistic flare, and Tragic has a real edgy tone. Heck, I might just have to buy two shirts. One of each.

You think I look good now, wait till you see me in my new "Browncoat T-shirt" or two

Totally your project. I messed it up once already. I'm keeping my nose out of it unless specifically asked.

Except for money. I'll put in money.
