I went with Golden Age. Ford could still and should do an Old Indy fine. Younger Indy could be done great by Nathan, I think.
But Matt Damon as Mal would lead to much lynchin'.

Has everyone forgotten about Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger, and The Sum of All Fears? I think the only logical choice for a younger Indy is Ben Affleck.

haha! I almost added the vomiting thing to my own post, but figured just saying it got the same point across.
"Go Brayn Adams, Go!"
"Don't do it Bryan Adams, it's a trick!!"

Not exactly. Same name, sure. But the new film is based on Flemming's novel. The Niven spoof just used the name.
It's like saying Batman Begins is a remake of the Adam West Batman. Shared source material does nessesarily mean remake.

I think Nathan would make a better choice for Indi than Ford because, sad to say, Harrison is just gettin' too damn old to do it. Plus it would give Nathan an excuse to use his trusty browncoat again(the whole whip thing mixed in would be cool too!)

Reply to the question as wether Connery was the first bond?
The first person to play Bond was David Niven in 1967 in Casino Royal. A spoof Bond.
Although Ian Fleming had David Niven in mind when he was writing his books.

I've just checked the results and believe it or not, they are practically neck-a-neck.
Out of 11,190 votes Ford has 43% and Fillion has 42%.
I have to say myself, until I saw Firefly and probably more so Serenity I couldn't imagine anyone else playing Indy, but now I really can see Nathan Fillion in the role. He's got just the right balance of tough-guy, fun, fallable to be right in the role and still be different enough from Ford to bring something else to it.

Not so. Dr.No came out in 1962, Casion Royale was 1967. Connery was first.

Just as Nathan never wants to see someone else play Mal. I think Indy "belongs" to Harrison and I would not want to see Nathan in the Indy role. If Nathan took the roll it would also be hypocritical and I would be very disappointed in him.
I aim to misbehave!
