It's currently on the Scifi Channel at this very moment. I'm watching it and am wondering who else on this board is as well.

Nope watching what not to Underwear. On TLC -- it's much funnier.

Yes, for the moment - I have to get to bed in a minute, plus I've already seen most of this season (Thank you bittorrent!)

Nope, missed it. Went out and celebrated St Pat's day instead. I hope to watch it as I'm completely in the dark here on the whole Dr. Who story.
People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

I tivoed it and watched it Saturday morning.
I found it kind of wierd and kind of amusing. It didn't have much depth, but was entertaining enough for me to watch again next week. It felt low-budget and amaturish compared to Battlestar Gallactica, but that really didn't bother me too much.

I've seen the whole season and have to say it's great. The first couple of episodes may be the weakest in the bunch. I wish that the BBC had found a US partner to air it a lot earlier; they kept insisting on a network larger than scifi and waited long enough that a lot of their existing fan-base has seen bootlegs.
I think Christopher Eccleston was a fantastic Doctor; I really wish he hadn't quit after one season. The guy that replaced him was wonderful in the one ep that has aired so far (Christmas Invasion); can't wait for the new season and the spin-offs.

It's kooky but I like it. And Rose is purdy.

I had to tape it ('cause I'm too poor for Tivo) but I finally had time to watch it. I have to say I loved it! Sure it's campy, cheesey and actually has aliens; but in all honesty that's why I'm loving it so far. After the grey hyperseriousness (is that a word?) of BSG and to some extent of the Stargates as well, it's just so refreshing. I grew up on cheesy fun scifi with campy special effects. I grew up on scifi that was just fun to watch and I have to admit I kinda' miss it. Don't get me wrong I like the highclass stuff like BSG and I'm a long time fan of the Stargates, but it's nice to have some fun stuff like Dr Who. Farscape was kinda like that, it was wacky and had aliens, but toward the end even it got pretty dark and serious (I'm also a Scaper). If you're wondering what other shows I might call campy, cheesy or fun, they would include Invisible Man (the one that the sci-fi channel had a while back) and the far to short lived Special Unit 2. Wow that kinda turned into a rant, sorry about that.

It was on in Australia last year (thank you ABC)and when I was first forced to watch Rose by my brother (crazy, insane DW fan) I really didn't like it, but I kept watching because I'd seen alot of the old series and felt that I had to. I'm so glad I did. The first episodes are probably the weakest ones, but by the end I was completely obsessed (not Firefly obsessed though, because it's unhealthy). Anyway, it's fantastic, great fun... and the cheese actually wears off a bit after a while. I'm desperate for the next season to start.
