I have read a lot about the shield, but have never watched it...wasnt doing anything, saw it was on, so I figure I will just catch an episode...
The main character says to an Internal Affairs detective...
"Your ex-wife's pussy tastes like sweet butter.."
Ok, first, it was wierd to hear that on TV...
So then the husband goes to talk to the ex-wife, and lo and behold, its Gina Torres...I had no idea...
and then she says...
"He made me come, twice..."
HONEY YOU HAD BETTER BE TALKING ABOUT WASH!!!!
It was so wierd to hear her speak in ways like that...

When the main character(Vic Mackey played by Michael Chiklis) and the character played by Gina(I believe her name on the show is Sadie) begin their sex scene you get a great shot of Gina's naked bum. I was quite happily surpised to see that on TV! Gina is actually the only reason I have watched any of the episodes, but the show does look promising.

The Shield is easily one of the best shows on TV during the last five years. If Gina got you interested in the show that's great. Now do yourself a favor and catch up on the other seasons. There is a a lot great stuff througout the entire run of the show.
Sure it is racy and FX has really stepped up it's schedule with the likes of Nip/Tuck and Rescue Me. Both of which are very good shows in their own right.
