I wrote and recorded a song inspired by two things. First, that all browncoats see Serenity the same way Kaylee does - heaven help anyone who insults our beautiful ship! Second, that her cheerfulness is just what we all need to get through long periods with nothing new in sight. Its about Kaylee, and all the browncoats as well.
You can find it here:

in the Firefly public folder
Lyrics:
verse 1 - Look up into the sky and what do you see?
No matter what else that they take, they can't take that from me
I remember the first time I walked the Eavesdown docks, there on my TV
I remember that bright shiny smile, that shiny voice
Kaylee
verse 2 - A genius with the engines, a smile to light the sky
A vision wrapped in shiny pink, the skills that keep us flyin'
She helps to make that ship a home, and keep her flying free
She's the heart and soul of Serenity
Kaylee
chorus - Kaylee, won't you lend me your eyes?
Show me what you see there in that old Firefly
When we feel trapped out in the black, let her smile be the wind beneath our leaves
And we will soar once more with Serenity
Kaylee
verse 3 - Sometimes it's hard flying out in the black
Missing old friends, wishing they'd come back
But it's love that keeps us flying, gives us something to believe
Every Browncoat sees Serenity through the eyes of Kaylee
chorus - repeat
Kind of wish I had a shinier singing voice, but I still like how it turned out

shiny, I liked it. ('course I'm likely guaranteed to enjoy anything with a mention of Kaylee in it... :)
