I have a dilemma.

I have a thought for an outrageous Firefly story and a series, but I want to make sure neither one has been done already, without giving it away and losing the surprise. I'd say go ahead and write it. Even if a similar plot has been done, it's unlikely that you'll use the same pov's, and themes exactly.
