Lot's of students and librarians, with military & computer techie people! I'm afraid I'm quite boring.
I've celebrated a few anniversaries of my 29th birthday (refuse to admit just how many). I work in the courts. There's a big fancy name for it, but basically I'm a Judge's clerk, although I've moved a little away from the courtroom, and now worry about the whole office. But basically that's it.
I like to think Mal would love me anyway, workin' for the Alliance as I do!

Well, my fancy title is 'Claims Processing Representative.' Realistically, I'm a medical biller who specializes in billing the Medicare program for a local hospital.
Before that I was a bill collector for a different facility, and before that...I was a vampire!
Okay, not a vampire, but close enough. I was actually a phlebotomist, which is that wonderful person from the laboratory who, when you're n the hospital, wakes you up before the crack of dawn to syph---er draw some blood for tests.

I've got a Train Job.
Wanting to be a railroader since the tender age of three, I've been one for about the past year and a half. Wacky fun.

What do I do in real life you ask? I'll tell you, I go to college to learn about Gaphic Arts, I don't have a steady job so after classes I come home and watch Firefly/Serenity over and over again!
In other words I'm freeloading off parents for now, but hope to have a job soon.

4th year student at University of Wisconsin double majoring in Biology and Southeast Asian Studies. I work at a deli when I'm not partying like a rock star or studying. My hobby is travel and 4 weeks off at winter break is the perfect time to indulge that.
Eventually I want to go to medical school, become a doctor, and save the world one developing country at a time, but until then I will be kicking it in Vietnam for an as yet to be determined amount of time post graduation.

PET CARE.........I take care of clients' animals when they are out of town for business, pleasure, whatever.......Do housesitting, mostly, some mid-day dog walks for those with long-houred workdays........I think my clients are like many posters here:highly educated, high income, high stress jobs..........I don't know how they/you do it. I see the unrelenting activity, the stress, the aggravation, the constant go go go go.......the lack of time to just STOP and LIVE, stop and BREATHE, stop and ENJOY LIFE. Why have companion animals if you're never home to enjoy their company? I also volunteer at an animal shelter, have animals of my own, participate in fundraising events on behalf of the animals, rescue stray dogs dodging traffic............What would I do in the Firefly 'verse? Don't know......perhaps care for the health and welfare of those black market beagles? (As long as they were not destined for the "Good Dogs!" barbeque)..........
Life is short, brutal, and unpredictable. EAT DESSERT FIRST.

While my husband and I work at our crazy, stressful jobs (we are adrenaline junkies and LOVE IT) our 6 cats take care of the house. LOL.
When I got my first cat, I vowed he would not be left alone, so I got him a brother. Then brother #3, then 4, 5 and 6. We got them all at the Humane society. Then we can spend quality time with them when we get home, but they don't need our constant attention as they have each other.
Rather a mad idea, (think litter box cleaning) but it works out.
