Just to bump this up again, here's something on THE OFFICE to speculate about.
Do you think Dwight would be a fan of FIREFLY/SERENITY?
I think there's evidence to both a yes and a no answer. Yes, on the fact that we know he's a fan of STAR WARS and BATTLESTAR GALACTICA and sci/fi fantasy in general. So to me it wouldn't be a stretch to see him declare his love for our BDH's. He might see himself as a pasty, white, male version of Zoe to Michael Scott's Mal (two characters that should never be in the same building, let alone room).
But on the other hand, Dwight is an amateur despot. Someone who considers authority and power to be an aphrodisiac as well as deer jerky. And STAR WARS and BATTLESTAR GALACTICA are very militant in nature. FIREFLY/SERENITY on the other hand could be seen as anti-war and subversive. So maybe Dwight wouldn't find our BDH's appealling. If anything, he'd be hardcore Alliance.
Can you imagine Dwight in the Alliance? He'd be the perfect Assistant to the Galactic Regent (although he'd leave out the "to the" part). And during review time to see him in an Alliance uniform off in an empty interrogation room blaring bad rock music, pumping himself up so that during performace review time he can ask for a raise.
"The least you could do is keep my salary consistent with inflation. HA-KAAAA-AAAAHHHHH!!"
Or maybe instead, see him sulk off to his hovercraft and blare out "Everybody Hurts" during some alone time.
I dunno. Dwight and the Alliance would seem like a match made in heaven.
Alternately, who off of FIREFLY/SERENITY would you like to see guest star or maybe join the cast of THE OFFICE? I think Nate Fillion might make a good guest as maybe Jim's older brother or a sales associate or something to contrast Michael with.

Just wanted to update the thread again since there was a new ep on tonight. This ep was called "Take Your Daughter to Work Day". I think ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT did this idea better, but there were plenty of good moments in this ep.
My favorite one was when Kelly got jealous of Stanley's 8th grade girl talking to Ryan and Stanley bringing the thunder down on an unsuspecting Ryan.
Stanley: [Screaming at Ryan] That little girl is a child! I don't wanna see you sniffing around her anymore this afternoon! Do you understand?
Ryan: Yes sir.
Stanley: Boy have you lost your mind because I'll help you find it! Whatchu looking for? Ain't nobody gonna help you out there. Jesus could come through that door and he's not gonna help you, if you don't stop sniffing after my child!
[cut to Ryan]
Ryan: Stanley yelled at me today. That was one of the most frighting experiences of my life.
Can't argue with that.
