I'm from all over, but currently stranded in London.
Was told by a friend to watch Firefly when I said the trailer for the movie looked good.
Went out on a limb and bought the series (£14 - total bargain!), loved it, then bought the movie and loved that too.
I wish with all my heart that it hadn't been cancelled, but the tragedy just makes it all the more special to us.
Most of my flat are unenthusiastic fans, but I've met three others so far in my small social circle who have fallen for the wonder that is FIREFLY!
Anyway, I should technically be working for another 14 minutes, so I'm going to keep tapping random keys while occasionally looking at some documents.

I'm a UK Browncoat (from Bristol), so yup, we exist all right. Like others have said, we keep quiet - well below the Alliance radar where we can do surprise attacks like buy lots of DVDs, unexpectedly boost sales, and insidiously convert others to the wonder that is FIREFLY.
I've also managed to convert most of my friends to the ways of the 'verse, so we're growing all the time!

we definitely do exist! I live in Nottingham, and have been a fan since i saw a ty advert for Serenity right in the middle of the adverts while i was watching Friends. It blew me away with its humour and effects. I went to see Serenity on my eighteenth birthday with seven mates- they loved it! A couple have bought Serenity on dvd, and i ordered Firefly off amazon and have wathced every episode three times! There aren't many of us u.k browncoats, but the number is getting larger all the time.

On the "Lound'n'proud" note, in an earlier life I was an active Trekker, promoting my local chapter of StarFleetCommand in Stoke-on-Trent, and regular convention go-er. Then I graduated from University, got a job and had no money or time for my mad hobby. Now I'm a dad and have even less of both.
My fandom is now one of quiet subversion, converting folks to the 'Verse in subtle ways.
And my 4 year old daughter can now sing the first verse of the Ballad of Serenity! That's ma gal!!
