Count me in on the "Adam, don't be bad!" wagon.

Anyway, I was watching with my wife and doing Firefly quotes MST3K style.

Brennan kicking Adam's butt:
"Start with the part where Jayne gets knocked out by a 90 lb. girl, cause that part's never getting old!"

The big save by Booth and crew at the end:
"Looks like we got here just in the nick of time! What does that make us?"
(wife) "Big Damn Heroes, sir!"

Sometimes you have to make your own fun.

I kept seeing commercials for it today, and was like "is that Adam?" Then I confirmed it was.

My mom said the same thing "I don't like him playing a bad guy role....well, a bad bad guy role."

I love how his name was Jaime. Hehehe!

I thought Adam did a good job of being bad. The Brokeback thing was funny. The only thing I didn't like was that the role he was cast in wasn't believable. If you really think it through it didn't make sense. No FBI agent is going to throw it all away for a bunch of mobsters, particularly in a way that would have gotten him caught in the long run anyways. Well everyone has to have a day job and I don't begrudge Adam for having to pay the rent. It wasn't his fault that the writers didn't think it through.

Funniest thing though, Edward James Olmos, (commander Adama on Galactica) in one of his earliest roles as a extra on the tv series Kojak, completely changed the scene he was cast in because he didn't agree with how it was written. Kojak is supposed to walk into a bar and ask a bartender (played by Olmos) to give up some critical information that gives up the bad guys. The camera is rolling Savalas walks in hits his mark says his line and Olmos says "Cut!" Jaws drop all over the set and Olmos says to the director "If a cop walks into a bar in this neighborhood, the bartender isn't going to tell him anything." They rewrote the scene and the rest is history.

Am I the only one who found it a bit weird looking at "Angel" and "Jayne" on the same TV show that was neither FF or Angel related...or Joss related for that matter?

It was odd that I caught this. I don't even watch Bones, but I was flipping channels and saw him there.

It reminded me why I hate tv. This show survives but stuff like the inside gets taken off the air? Bones is so dumb. I saw Adam being bad a mile away. Everyone knows Bones and Booth will hook up eventually. And then break up eventually. And then hook up again eventually. Repeat.

Also, did anyone believe for a second that they let Booth go into that warehouse in his condition? He's a liability in that state. There's just no way.

I also agree that there's no way Bones was holding her own against Adam. That was just plain silly. Maybe one cheap shot would have gotten through, but all her sweeping his legs out and stuff is totally unbelievable.

Ok, I saw my first ever episode of Bones last night and I've got a few comments on it.

First of all, the whole awkwardness between Bones and Booth was painful. If I had a nickel every time they interrupted each other I'd be able to purchase the Firefly rights from Fox. The dancing scene was good acting, but made absolutely NO plot sense.

The whole show was more about how protective Booth was of Bones but he never really got a chance to SHOW it. And Bones never even really fought him on it. A man presuming he'd just waltz into my house and spend the night on my couch! Coworker or no, HELL NO!

The internet dating thing was a totally off-center distraction. It could have really tipped things along in the plot but never got developed enough.

Whomever wrote Adam's part should be shot. He was not likable enough in the beginning for the betrayal to even affect you. Once he mentioned the Mob assignment, that wasn't foreshadowing, it was just plain giving the plot away.

And getting his butt kicked by Bones? That man is a ROCK, there's no moving him. An FBI agent who should have experience in hand to hand combat getting his butt kicked by a doctor? Even with a lucky hit, she shoulda run and not hung out to hurt him. Idiot.

She's a forensic anthropologist and her team did all the work. Call me crazy, but I'd expect her to actually SHOW some of this genius that she's supposed to be.

Then at the end, there's no resolution with everything that happened, it was all focused on the relationship between the two. That's fine and all, but the show needs to decide on which it wants to be: cop show or soap opera.

I think this may be my last viewing of this show. I agree with my fellow above me somewhere. How can crap like this be on TV and Firefly gets cancelled?!?

You really need to see the show from the beginning to get some of the relationship between Bones and Booth. The Internet dating thing does makes sense if you watched the other episodes.

Bones does do quite a bit of the investigating, this show really was an exception to the rule. All else aside, this particular episode wasn't written as well as others.

I really do like this show and would be quite disappointed if F*x cancels it.

As to the other comments about seeing Adam on this show, I couldn't help but think "Jayne! The man they call Jayne!" every time I saw him on the screen. It was quite weird to see him sans moustache/goatee thing.

I also thought of the 90lb. girl line when Temperance tried to escape!

I also thought of "I got stupid" when he was explaining how that one mob family was really good to him.

I like Bones but come on the moment he stepped into the sceen well... after the squeeling stopped I knew he was the bad guy. And Bones would so kick a regular fed's ass not Jayne's ass but some random guy yes. The dancing makes sense to me cause who doesn't get a little dancing bug when that song comes on the radio I mean really don't lie you do a little seat dance.
