I'm not staying over. I am only an hour and a half away and hubby will drive. He will be golfing all the while I am conning. LOL
I am saving my hotel money to go to Shore Leave in Baltimore. It would be great for us all to meet up at some point throughout the day. I'm sure we'll all be in the photo and autograph lines anyway. :)

Nametags maybe? Ticket #'s?

Nametags will work. I am not sure if there will be nametags for the con itself. I know I am badge Sat 1, but that's about all I know.

I know I have nametags around somewhere. Maybe I'll leave them at the registration table as a donation...

Barring that, we could always try to make our own. I am sure there will be tags of some kind for the con anyway. We really should have some way to identify each other as we pass in the halls and dealer room.

I've been to the past two MRs. Wonderful times, by the way. MR supplies badges which have your name and badge number/seat number on them. Last year, we were able to request having our MR forum name as well so that other attendees could put faces to the people they've been talking to for months.
Don't worry about the Buffy/Angel aspect, especially since two of the three headliners are of Firefly/Serenity. The Buffy/Angel guests are wonderful to the attendees, especially James Leary and Camden Toy. Very approachable.
I'll be the first to admit that MR has had its bumps in the past. But like it was previously posted, people still return for the next year. The weekend is what you make of it. Unlike some of the anonymous replies on the LJ page, I've never had a problem with Aria. She's always been very helpful prior to and during the convention when I had a question or complaint.
I hope to see some of you in June! I'll check my badge number later, since I'm not at home, but it's a Premium Membership which some of you are in line for. :)

Just checked my paperwork.
My mother and I will be attending, and we are badge numbers 35 and 36.
We are seated B18 and B19. Here's the tentative seating chart: http://home.comcast.net/~mrconfirmation
As stated at the top of the page, the layout may change depending on the room and placement of technical equipment, but it has never been drastically changed in the past.

As long as you don't mind a rather shy 20 year old, I'll try to make it to your Shindig. It sounds like it'll be a good time. I'm staying in the main hotel, but I'll have a vehicle so it wouldn't pose a problem. :)

We'd LOVE to have you at our shindig! Now I'm just waiting for my confirmation from the hotel and the con. Hope MalNourished and I can get seats together...
And thanks for the link to the seating arrangements. I'll be sure to check that once my ticket comes in. Now I need to go write a check for mom and sis' GA tickets. I want to do that now as Aira's running into problems with not enough pre-purchased tickets going on.
I'll be working on e-mailing some radio stations tonight I hope.
