I'm running Safari, too, but don't have the problem you are talking about. I've had other problems, but the one concerning the emoticons seems to have been solved. (I'm running 10.2.6 and 1.0 v85 Safari.)

I'm using the identical versions of OSX and Safari as you are... I update more often now that OSX hits me on the head (gently) and reminds me to do so!
Okay... gonna post now... let's see what happens...

Hmmmm... maybe it's okay now.
I have a theory about what may have caused the crashes. It has something to do with sites I visted and logged into before coming to this site. I'll change this and see if it remedies the situation.
Otherwise, the site works fine with Safari.

Whatta drag... I REALLY like Safari. This is the first problem I've had with it. Maybe I should do a "bug" report to Apple.
