1) Mal. His honor and ability can both be counted upon in a pinch. Followed by Inara. With her intelligence, resourcefullness and position she'd be hard to push around and wouldn't see any personal gain from turning on me. Everybody else has other loyalties (Zoe to Mal, Wash to Zoe, Book to God, Simon to River, Jayne to himself) that could get in the way and/or wouldn't have the ability to defend my 10k credits. (Sorry Kaylee you're sweet and all but brave you've never really been and anyway no amount of money is worth you dyin' over.) This leaves River as the wildcard. On a good day she's great but on a bad day....

2) Alone with for 2 months? Anybody but Jayne. I don't think I could survive on two months of conversations with 'im. I'd go all bibbledy. Everybody else would be fine company though. Well psychotic River might be a bit of a chore to live with alone for 9 weeks but at least the trip would never be boring.

An interesting question.

I think I'd pick Zoe for both. I'd trust her implicitly, and I like her personality best of all the crew members. I think she would be fun to talk to.

I'd put my money where my Mal is. I've recently come to recognise that he's my evil twin (not that I'm much better, but he and I are uncannily alike in a lot of ways).

I could stand to spend a couple of months alone with either Kaylee or River...

1)Was tougher than I thought once I started thinking. I'd say I could trust Zoe with the money, but what if Mal asked her for it? Kaylee, I likely couldn't ask her for it back ;p I'd go with Book: we don't know much about his past but I'd figure he's a man of his word. If you can't trust the Shepard to live up to his word, then who can you trust?

2)Kaylee, oh yeah... :) (Plus if the ship breaks down, I'd have someone around to make sure we don't die.)

This is an interesting question!

I think I'd give the money to Zoe. If she was going to do something with it other than giving it back to me, at least I know it'd be for a good cause. That would help a little when I was poor (again).

As for the two months, it would have to be Wash, no question about it! He could fly us to all kinds of fascinating places, and he'd have me laughing the whole time. How many quips could he fit into two months? I'd like to find out.

Book is getting my money. He wouldn't steal it, I don't think he'd give it away and he could kick the crap out of whoever tried to take it! (With the matter of kneecaps being fuzzy and all...)

You know, being with Kaylee actually makes a lot of sense. She's cheerful so she could keep your spirits high, she can take care of the ship so you don't die, she can make wine and cake which is always good, then of course she's so gorram scrumptious... but not in a reaver kind of way.
