I watched Farscape from day one, all the way through. I still watch it. And I like Browder and Black on Stargate.
However, and I'll get blasted for this, I think BSG stinks. To me it's just a soap opera in space, much more than any other scifi program. I don't agree at all with all the praise that's been heaped on it.
And none of them substitute Firefly.
I agree with the above comment about FS and FF being more realistic views of the future than the Star Treks. Babylon 5 was too.

Can the Farscape fans recommend some good websites and/or discussion forums related to the show?
Thank you,
Kevin

I love Farscape. Though frequently there are some very corny things and corny episodes. I think the story is great. Getting sucked into wormholes - where will you end up? Also the Peacekeeper Wars kicked ass.

Hi,
I was a Farscape fan a long time before I ever watched Firefly and even though by now I think Firefly is the better show of the two, Farscape still is a very close runner up for me.
As was mentioned in some other posts, there are some parallels: the crew thrown in together by circumstance rather than choice, with a lot of conflict brewing between them, but growing very close together nevertheless. There are some emotionally very intense eps in Farscape which deal with this. The show has some good dry humor as well (even though the dialogs can not quite beat any of Joss's shows, I am afraid).
The setting is more fantasy than scifi, the wormhole theory allowing for a completely different world with all kinds of strange cultures and alien life forms. I loved the creatures the Henson people created for this and the idea of the Leviathans, the ships which are alive really appealled to me, too. (A pregnant spaceship ... that's priceless) There are really many good ideas in the series. Definitly worth watching (over and over and over again...).
And even though it might be possible to jump into the show somewhere in the middle, you really get the most of it if you start at the beginning of season one, because it lays the foundation for some crucial things that happen later.
Keep flying!

Havn't been there in a while myself, but www.watchfarscape.com used to have a pretty active forum.

Almost everything with Harvey went, except for the crash test dummy scene... which would've made no sense without the simple explanation from the first (Albert) scene.
The explanation for Aeryn's quick pregnancy.
The signing of the treaty.
Lots of relatively minor character moments.
Basically, they brutalised it. It was two parts of two hours each originally, three hours total without adverts on the DVD. They showed it all in three hours... including adverts.
Bastards.

Any one know what "Harpooda" means?
A friend of mine asked me awhile back, and it has been bugging me for months.
It's an insult of sorts.
Used between John and Aeryn I believe.
in the context of "you're a frelling harpooda"
