Okay, I'll do this again, I keep being told I need to "put myself out there." Though I'm not quite sure where "there" is and why I want to be there. But I don't mind being here.

I copied from the previous and now entirely tooooo long thread:

SWF, 28, with Kaylee's earthiness, Zoe's strength, Inara's mystery and River's intelligence (okay I'm not THAT smart, but I can hold my own)seeks someone with Mal's strength, Book's faith, Simon's intelligence, Wash's humor and Jayne's willingness to brush my hair.

I should also mentioned I'm currently in South Carolina, but I don't like it here at all. Not my cup of tea.

But I don't know any Browncoats anywhere near me, so I would LOVE to know if there are any Browncoats in the Columbia/Augusta GA area that would like to get together and do fun things.

Hey everyone, I posted on the last thread, but I guess that one kind of turned into a joke...

I'm an 18 year old female browncoat in the Sacramento, CA area with Kaylee's personality and Wash's sense of humor. I'm a freshman in college and I consider myself to be a fairly laid back person. I love all types of music, film, and tv so diverse taste in entertainment is a must. I'm looking for a Wash/Mal/Simon type. I'd preferably like to meet guys relatively close to my own age, but I'm not too choosey on that aspect.

26/m outside Philadelphia. Just looking for friends for the time being but not completely closed off to anything more. In appearance, personality and emotional state, I'm about as close to Mal as you can get; but in terms of personal faith I've yet to lose mine and I'm very glad of it. (Oh, and I don't own any tight pants, either.)

Being a locomotive engineer I have a Kaylee-like affection for heavy machinery. Being a nearly lifelong single, I used to have Simon's skills with women, but after a few bad experiences I'm just plain Mal. Still, having friends sure don't hurt none. OK - why not...my friends have been pestering me to do Match.com or eHarmony and while I encourage them...I have been reluctant to do that myself. At least on here I know I'd have something in common with people!

OK - 1st & foremost I'm a 39 year-old SWF (and yes - it's the first time I've been 39). Most people guess I'm a lot younger - they say it's how I look - I say it's 'cause I'm immature. Best compliment I ever got at work was I don't seem like the Corporate type. I'm their token creative goofball. The CEO thinks I'm bent but hasn't fired me yet. It's been 8 years so I think I'm through probation.

I'm in Greensboro, North Carolina (but born and bred in Pennsylvania) so I'm a Damned Yankee. That means I'm a Yankee that moved to the south and stayed (for my job - referenced above)- so the locals refer to those of us that have done that as Damned Yankees cause we haven't left! I know the chances of fellow Firefly fans near me is slim to none but I'm up for the impossible cause I like to think I'm mighty. Mighty "what" is a whole other topic, although peculiar is a favorite adjective I've heard.

Quick list of interests - anything related to Joss. Love Firefly, Buffy, Angel - the whole Miss Kitty Fantastico and caboodle, walking & hiking with my 2 dogs, books and movies, talking with my friends and family, having a great laughfest over nothing in particular (I tend to catch cases of the sillies) and a list of lots of other things I never get to do cause I work - alot! I'm trying to cut down on that though and get a real life (like trying this for instance!).

Hope some match-ups happen through this even if it's not me. That would be fair dinkum cool!

I'd also love to meet anyone nearby for coffee who wants to yak about our favorite subject just to get a chance to meet some new folk and hopefully not be kidnapped by them and taken to the hills.

Yeah, the last thread sorta scared me off because of it's vast wasteland of posts. So here goes one more time:

19-year old S/W/MW (That's Mal/Wash) here. Mal's stubbornness and common sense, Wash's sense of humor and love of a good toy or two, and the irresistable charm of both. I live in Greensboro, NC, but am currently attending college at UNC-Wilmingtin. I'm a film & creative writing major, so movies of any kind are right up my alley.

Looking to meet female browncoats in the NC area, see where things go. I know about as much about the whole dating thing as I do about quantam physics, so taking things slowly might be a plus.
