Broken emoticons

OK, what's going on? The emoticons aren't showing up in any of the browsers that I have available, Safari, IE, Netscape, Mozilla. They behave properly when I am at the post new thread page. Any suggestions? Does anybody see the "disappointed" emoticon at the beginning of my message?

IT works, it works!!! Now for the other browsers. . . . But, the emoticons on the first two threads don't work. Strange.
