Nobody in their right mind would find Claudia Black unattractive.

She had a real River thing going with the severity. Not generally sunny, most of the time, but when you did get a smile, it was well worth waiting for.

Farscape was my first official fandom, well I say official because I honestly had no idea that STNG fans or Star Wars had such massive followings. It was one of my deep dark perverted secrets that I didn't advertise or discuss with anyone else until I found Farscape. The first few eps are a bit lame, even so, there is some first rate writing and acting. The actors, writers, and producers ALL loved the show and characters the same as Joss, the BDHs, and the rest loved Firefly. They even had their own version of the flanvention called ScaperCon. The cast/crew all regularly had chat sessions with the fans and would often just pop up in the chat room and hang with us. Ben Browder also wrote two of the scripts, I believe, "Green Eyed Monster" and dang can't remember the other one, but it was either the Alice in Wonderland episode or the Warner Bros cartoon episode. I thought the show was magnificent, in that it broke all the rules regarding how you could juxtapose different genres. They were NOT muppets, they were million dollar animatronic characters with phenomenal personality, emotion, and character. When you say muppets most people think Fozzie Bear or Kermit and there is simply no comparison. The CGI was fantastic, the sets were fantastic, and as others have mentioned the villains were superb. The season arcs were complex and always had a number of different offshoots that were either exhilarating or enraging. I never felt any sense of ambivalence towards any character, any backstory, or any situation. The stories are completely different but the high standards on the part of those involved in the show as well as the fans were equal to that of Firefly.

Yeah, I frelling loved Farscape when it first came out. Ran into some problems after some time, as I missed out on a season and had alot of catching up to do. Still great, and I liked that they used muppets instead of CG. (I'm of the school that the best special effects are the ones where don't even know it's CG.)

Crichton just rocks, and I think he'd fit in pretty well with the crew of Serenity, too. (Well... I can see him in the 'verse. I don't see him and Mal getting along too well :)

Was a big fan of the Crichton/ Aeryn romance, too. Very believable, what with all the ups and downs they went through.

Can't say it's much of a Firefly fix, but still a great show on it's own merits.

Ah yes, of course. Dang I miss that show. I just wish I could afford the second mortgage that would be required to buy the frelling dvds!!!! grrrr still pisses me off the amount they are charging. Even for the Starburst edition! I know I'll just end up forking over the dough one of these days and then turning off the phone, locking the door, and having myself a Crichtony good time. Remember when they switched bodies and Chiana was in D'argo's body while Rygel was in John's and Chiana/D'argo was attempting to seduce John/Rygel? Good Times!! Fuck it....what's a couple of hundred bucks. who needs food or running water.

What was great about both Farscape and Firefly, and this has also been mentioned in interviews with the casts and crews, is that both programs got out of that "sterile, clean" setting of the Star Trek universe where the actors delivered their lines precisely and just so, well, perfectly. Farscape and Firefly both gave us well-lived-in, grungy worlds that will probably turn out to be more realistic in a thousand years or so than the Star Trek universe. Except, of course, for the Alliance.

That is easily one of the best body-swap episodes that exists in TV science fiction. They dealt with the unwholesome things normal people would do in that situation in that way that only Farscape can

Plus, one thing you have to say about Farscape: more alien sex and vomit than you can shake a jinka pole at!

I wish my DVDs were easier to get to... I'd watch them all again in a frelling microt!

I'm listening to the Peacekeeper Wars soundtrack right now... just reached the track called 'We All Die'... such a sad moment.
