On the DvD version of the series, the Firefly logo is "burned" into the face of a Mars-like planet on each of the discs and on the box. Does anyone have any speculation on what planet that might be in the 'verse?

It's not just "Mars-like", it is Mars.

I wasn't sure so I looked it up, ended up having a "mutated cow fetus" moment. Found a picture of Mars and it looked really similar but not quite, then realized it was just flipped and I was like "oh yeah, Mars".

It's either Belagio, or Flumox, or maybe Miranda.

Could that be what happened to Earth That Was? I know we're supposed to fall too close to the sun, get cooked too hot and ultimately end up like Mars but that certainly won't happen in the next 500 years unless mankind does something that messes the solar system up.

Actually, we're not going to fall into the sun, it's going to come out to meet us (pretty much out to Mars' orbit) when it becomes a red giant, but we don't have to worry about that for many millions of years to come.

No power in the 'verse can stop me!

We saw what happened to Earth at the beginning of the movie.
