"Too much hair!"

"River, he's putting the hair away now."
"Is that what's wrong?"
"Hell yes preacher! If I didn't have things to do I'd be in there with her."

Every single line in the whole thing is pure comedy and drama at the same time. Some of my favorites are:

"With a swhat?"-Shindig

"You know what the chain of command is?"-Train Job

"Ain't nobody touched my plow but me in a long time..."-Our Mrs. Reynolds

Leaning into the wind that used to carry me-Stavesacre

Gotta love the ape comment, the 10% take away the nothin, gotta love Rivers petty theft monologue...

Did anyone say this one or did I miss it?

...you will burn in a very special level of Hell, a hell they reserve for child molesters and people who talk in the movie theaters...a special hell.

My favorite Firefly quote?

Zoë: River, honey, he's putting away the hair now.
River: Doesn't matter. It'll still be there...waiting.

Of course seeng Ron Glass with almost the exact same hair style he had on Barney Miller in the 70's was a hoot all by itself.

And...yeah I loved the outtake in Serenity that a few people above mentioned. But I think my favorite part of it was seeing the looks on the others in the scene as they realised just what Nathan was actually saying. That was priceless.

From the BDM:

Mal (hopeless/angry): "I don't murder children!"
Operative (deadpan): "I do."

RIVER:
Fixing your Bible.

BOOK
I--uh-- What?

RIVER
Bible's broken. Contradictions, faulty logistics--it doesn't make sense...

BOOK
No, no, you can't...

RIVER
So we'll integrate non-progressional evolution theory with God's creation of Eden -- eleven inherent metaphoric parallels already there... eleven, important number, prime number, one
goes into the house of eleven eleven times but always comes out one--

BOOK
River, just take it easy. You shouldn't--

RIVER
Noah's Ark is a problem--

BOOK
Really.

RIVER
We'll have to call it early quantum state phenomenon-- Only way to fit five-thousand species of mammal on the same boat-

------

That who seen is shiny. I just love it.. I am just irreligious enough to really, really enjoy it in a place where far too many people take 3,000+ year old stories way too seriously.

You know, you're pretty funny, even without cussin'...

its not realy a quote but i cant stop singing it

Take my love, take my land / Take me where I cannot stand / I don't care, I'm still free / You can't take the sky from me / Take me out to the black / Tell 'em I ain't comin' back / Burn the land and boil the sea / You can't take the sky from me / There's no place I can be / Since I found serenity / But you can't take the sky from me
