I posted this info on the general forum but I figured maybe it should go here too.

I've been working on recreating some of the leather goods from the 'vers, starting with Jayne's gear and have put my first few offerings up on eBay including three different sizes of Jayne's gunbelt and his knife sheath, with or without the knife. It took me a bit of experimentation to get to where I am more or less happy with them so I have some "irregular" pieces from my first attempts for sale at pretty good discount . You can check them out on my website at:

I'm working on a few more pieces now and I eventually I hope to offer firefly-related leather goods directly from my site if there is enough interest.

The knife is made by a company called Rough Rider. It took me forever to track down a few of them, and it looks like they are out of production now.

Thanks! I made my first three versions of Jayne's wrist bracer this past weekend and I think I've just about got a viable pattern worked out. It just needs a bit of tweeking, and I have to work out sizing, which I hope to get to some time this week. That should just about cover Jayne's leather gear from the series.

Mal's gunbelt was going to be next, but I just found out that there is someone already making decent reproductions of those (he sells them on eBay under the ID "dnegel231"), so I may start working out some of Zoe's leather next instead.

This is way cool! Can't wait to see the bracelet. Your stuff looks lovely, and Zoe's belt and such would be awesome:) I seem to recal she had a nice leather bracelet in the BDM....I'd actually be more interested in that 'cause I'm a girl.

Hey Griffin, if you do a Zoe's gun belt I will be the first to buy it (as I already have the belt with the big shiny brass buckle and the replica rifle) to complete my Zoe costume. Your Jayne stuff looks great, can't wait to see what you come up with next! Keep up the great work!!!
