I'm a huge fan of the series: both seasons (what can I say, I loved Alec). But here's a bit of goss...did ya'll know Dark Angel was cancelled on a cliffhanger so that the network could afford to make Firefly? Hey, don't get me wrong...I'm thankful Firefly won out, but why can't we have 2 sci-fi shows running at once, especially when they have as little in common as these two did? I'm just not happy

Say no more. Evil's still afoot and I'm almost out of that Nancy-bot hair-gel that I like so much. Quickly to the Angelmobile, away!

Chrisisall, I loved your synopsis on the earlier thread, you wrapped things up well, but tell me, where do you think Lydekker has been hiding since the car crash (I agree with you that he's not dead, but I'm not creative enough to explain his absence!).

First, hiding and healing. Later raiding (supposedly secret) bank accounts of now dead superiors to fund new ops.
He's been carefully avoiding Manticore-friendly government officials, and building up intel and manpower in the form of loyal commandos that have served under him to combat the cult menace.
Yes, in my world, Donald has turned away from the Dark Side, and becomes a force for good (and plays a key roll in saving Max's life... but that's another story...)

I thought I'd jump into the thread considering I'm a fan of all things DA

Having said that - I still haven't read the novels, though I've got all three of them
I also haven't completed the game - only played it once

Enough about that though, I'll give a list of some of my fave episodes - though I must say its been quite a while since I've watched them, so there are probably many I cant remember (and I've had to go to tv.com to remind me of the episode titles)

3 Faves:
Pollo Loco - with Ben, the manticore killer
The Berrisford Agenda - Alec's past comes to the fore
Freak Nation - the action packed end

...

I really need to go back and rewatch them from he beginning because it's really been too long (Which is why I could only pick 3 out - I can't even think of any worst, at the minute at least)

As for Fantastic Four, I quite enjoyed it
I know it had many flaws (I don't think the final fight was that great), but overall it was ver entertaining and genuinely funny.
I liked it even more the second time

Plus, Jessica Alba in her underwear: never a bad thing

Needy, if you're gonna watch it all again, skip Gill Girl and Love In Vein from the second season; you'll be glad you did.

Chrisisall, a big fan of "Haven" from season 1

Oh yes, I remember now - Love in Vein was one of my least favourites
I only vaguely recall gill girl - don't remember thinking it was awful, but dont think it was superb either

Hey, I'm showing my ignorance here, but I've noticed a couple of posts refer to a comet threatening Earth at the end of the second series. I haven't read the books, so I assume this is where it stems from. Am I right, or was I not watching closely enough?

Denny Crane, Trix are for Kids... Denny Crane, coo-coo for Cocoa Puffs.

The comet was referred to on the commentary on Freak Nation at the beginning. It was gonna be the climax of the series. The comet, foretold by the cult for centuries, would pass Earth and leave or mutate a virus which would kill most normals, but Max was designed by Sandeman to have the cure in her genetic makeup. Blagh blagh, woof woof, you know the rest...

*speaks up*

Jessica Alba kicking butt in leather, who wouldn't love it! I was sooo mad when they canceled. Why is it all the *good* shows get dropped and we end up with year after year of the same old reality ones?

I'd take Firefly and Dark Angel any day.

yup they mentioned what would have happened in Season 3 in the commentary. See it pays to check out everything on the DVDs
