You have never even thought of writing fanfic before when you suddenly come up with ideas for several "episodes". You try to ignore them but after a while it feels like those Hands of Blue guys are using their little device on your head. So you start writing one to relieve the pressure but the damn thing just keeps coming! As of this moment my word count is around 3000 and I'm not even close to finished!

Edit: Now up to 7500 and still nowhere near finished!

As a gift, your parents went to the movie store and...

Phase 1: Mom distracts clerk with stupid questions.

Phase 2: Dad carefully removes very giant Movie poster and walks out.

Not really (the guy just gave it to them). But that's what they told me.

You have a very vivid picture:
Mal is wearing a feathered headress. Wash has a very long feather on his head that bobs comically whenever he moves. They are on the bridge. Mal has some sort of spell book and there is a green fire and incense. Wash is holding a four-legged sheep-thing and is shaving it.

Mal: Are you shaving the vector?

Wash: I'm doing it, it's not enough!
I then laughed so hard that people asked me if I was OK.

Also: Action figures? T-shirts? WHERE???????????

...you're watching a rugby match featuring a team called the Border Reivers and instantly think that that's where Firefly's Reavers must come from.

...you say as much to your dad (he's used to your obsessions)

...he tells you that actually, Reiver is an old Scots word meaning essentially mountain bandit, one of the wild forest folk who lived outside the law and attacked local settlements.

...you're so delighted by this response that you can barely follow the rest of the game, but note with relief that the Reivers lose.

...you remind yourself that Firefly's Reavers are a lot scarier that the rugby team the Reivers, who suck.

...you resolve to get out more.

...you break said resolution in ten minutes by popping in, "Bushwhacked," to remind yourself what the Reavers were like when they first appeared.

If you can't do something smart, do something right.

...while packing for Spring Break, you wrap the Firefly Box set in lots of clothing, so it won't get frayed.

...after immediately waking up from a Firefly dream and still being in the half asleep/ half awake mode, you think ' I don't have a brown coat.., how can I call my self a browncoat, when I don't have a brown coat !?

Mal- Tactics, woman. Needed her in the back. Besides, those soft cotton dresses feel kinda nice. There's a whole airflow.
