Shows up with a wooden, rectangular box as he pats shipscat on the head and scratches under her chin.
"Nice kitty. Anyway, traded this for two of my pistols and half-dozen grenades back planet-side. Guy wanted my best rifle, but I reckon I changed his mind with the looks I threw him. You folks got some shot glasses here?" He opens the box, revealing a glass bottle. "It's a bottle of somethin' called brandy, and let me tell you what, I may just forget 'bout that swill called Mudder's Milk."

Walking back from the engine room I stumbled over a bag of vegetables. The good news is they are reasonably fresh. The bad news is they are Zuchinis. Oh well fry 'em up and they might be eatable. Is there any olivish oil on this boat?
