No kidding! Wow, she surely looks different without the makeup! Actually, I think it's that I always envisioned River as shorter than Inara, either by assumption or filming techniques.

In fairness to Morena that isn't her best picture ever. But I don't think that we ever saw River and Inara standing next to each other so height could never really be judged. Glad to be of service.
