Book Series. . . ?

On another site several months ago (the site is currently gone), I had seem some comments about a potential book series to continue the adventures of our favorite crew. Any one know if anything might come of that or what the lastest is? I can't for the life of me remember which authors they may have been talking to about it.

By the author of the novelization. It says due July 1, 2009??? I'm thinking the date's wrong.

Excellent. Poking around online I've seen release dates as June 2006 for this title (on two seperate sites), so maybe someone made a typo on Amazon.
