Currently my Firfly DVD's on loan to my dad, so I can't check whether this question is answered in there.
In the verse, was Earth the only planet to be inhabbited, before we decided to move out and start terraforming that is.
Just something that's been bugging me.

it's the only one mentioned... Earth that was could no longer sustain our numbers.. something like that starts Serenity...
