I've never posted anywhere before so if I commit some sort of faux pas I apologize ahead of time, I just want to help out my fellow fans. I bought a pair of boots at www.lovemyshoes.com that are about as close to River's in the movie that I could fine. They were less than $40 with free shipping which was a definite plus. When you get to the site search for "Street Feet Buckle" and it should take you right to them. The site is great, I ordered them at around 11am on a Thursday and they were at my door at 930 am the next day! I hope this is helpful.

In response to AliciaChamar, River's boots were originally from a store called "Hideout Fashions" on Melrose in LA. They had two stores at the time, and the one where River's were purchased closed. The other store is still open, and they are very nice. I've called them before.

I'm wondering if we could get a group order from them?

You know, that might be a really great idea. There are many people who would love a pair of those boots. Of course, some might not be able to afford it. But might we get a discount because it's a group order?

Huh, since we're on the subject of shoes...any idea what style Jayne's shoes are?

Much thanks.

If you mean Jayne's TV boots, they really look like a cheap pair of rubber and suede winter or hiking boots with some sort of seperate nylon and velcro "boot blouser" type thingies wrapped around his ankles. I have a pair of the boots that look fairly similar which I picked up at Wal-Mart last year for about $20, made by a company called "Crater Ridge".

You've got the light...from the console...keep you, lift you up. They shine like...little angels...zzzzzzzzzzzz.

Forgive the huge image, but it looks like in this promotional shot Jaynes boots (least here) are none other then vietnam era jungle boots, lest I'm mistaken. Ok, so that's one pair nailed down...

Well here's a picture of her boots from the show.

I took this from the original image which can be found here:

The boots that you guys spotted here: http://www.pennangalan.co.uk/boots/FW45.php

Those are very similar, but not the same thing. Nice find!

And is it just me or would Nathan Fillion do a FANTASTIC job doing a Space Quest movie playing Roger Wilco.

Don't know what space quest is??? http://www.vintage-sierra.com/spacequest.html It was a Comedy-Action-Adventure game back in the day, I played it as a small child, though it wasn't a childrens games (though back then they didn't have ESRB ratings to tell you so, hehe). Nathan would be perfect for the part, for the fact he looks like Roger Wilco and he's funny :D.

Ok I'm done hijacking this thread.
