Ok, I couldn't find the old thread.... Ok I didn't try to find the old thread...

But anyway, just to make sure everyone REMEMBERS and to make sure everyone KNOWS that the Scifi Channel is showing Firefly on March 10th from 10 AM to 6 PM (I think it's Eastern Time).

You know, its been suggested that a brown coats we should buy additional (or loan)DVD box sets and give them to friends and family. Maybe we could just record the episodes off Sci-fi and give those away.

But buying the DVDs would get more money to Universal which would help our cause even more. DVD sales are what will get us a sequel.

Yes, mattcoz is right. We need the sales numbers to show, not the fact that we can cleverly steal and reproduce copyrighted materials.

Sadly, I'm flying to the UK that day, and thus will miss the marathon. I'll have to beg my neighbor to watch and tivo it. :D

Yea, that could work for getting people interested but the idea behind buying more box sets is to boost the sales numbers.

Buying the Firefly set nets Universal no money at all. That goes to Fox.

Yea Chindi, and the intros by Mal and Book. I love those, especially Mal's.

It's sorta fun to watch it on tv the way it first came out. I like the DVD's better but tv is fun.

Buy Serenity with the new low priced ( on Amazon) DVD set of the show. Recruit with the movie and the series. Either way, Browncoats will be born.

Universal is who we are trying to interest the most tho. They can make a sequel if interested and they have a interest in SciFi where it's possible a mini series or tv movie could be made. Either way...they come first.

You're right. Buying the DVD sets puts money in Fox's pocket, but the DVD sales numbers did help convince Universal to make the BDM to begin with. Boosting those numbers will only help the cause.

I would use the $19.86 priced series sets at Amazon.com & at Wal Mart to hook people then convince them to go by the BDM on DVD to put money in Universal's pocket & push for a sequel.
