WooHoo! Systems Engineering. Same here; do large scale acquisitions for the federal gov't. If it costs more then a billion dollars, I'll help you buy it. After graduating with a degree in International Politics I used my diplomatic skills doing retail.
11 years later and I'm a Transport Manager (and occasional interpreter) for a UK fuel company.
Oh, and a Reserve Army Officer teaching cadets - we're always shiny!

Designer - graphic design, advertising. Side company also doing the same, illustration (computer, conventional), web but mostly print. Some cartooning. Hoping to break into writing and illustrating books.. College grad alum in the biz some 20yrs.. yikes. Been a big fan of everything sci fi so started out doing portrait sketches of characters way back (ST TOS, BSG) and scenes drawn from books, glossies, bubble gum cards. You get the idea.

Almost finished with college, hoping to be a Network Administrator in a couple of years. Right now I'm unemployed and mooching off my parents.

I process contracts for an independent phone book (although my bosses insist I call it "telephone directory") company that now publishes over 50 books across the United States. It alternates between interesting and boring, and my co-workers alternate between human and Reaver.
In my spare time, I like to write fiction and watch birds, among other things.
