I'm a recent Browncoat myself(a "Serenity DVD Browncoat"?), and spent all day Saturday getting my buddy hooked on it.

Other than that, I've been posting rave reviews on Serenity & Firefly everywhere I can, buying up as much merchandise as the budget will allow, and joining every Big Damn Fansite I can point my browser to.

Gonna try to attend a FireflyDFW Shindig this weekend.

If I think of any original ideas, I'll let ya know.

Damn, I love this show!

Nifty new postcards, thanks to MPhillips' wonderful talent (and permission!). Send off word how much you like our 'verse to anyone and everyone. Plus postage is cheaper than letters.

Print on cardstock.

Spread them around. Alot.

You know a thing that surprised me about Los Angeles? Entertainment Billboards. Billboards for movies, for TV, for every award ceremony on the planet - especially for best picture nominees at Oscar time. I've no idea how to rent a billboard for any length of time, or how much it would cost. But it would be a shiny thing indeed to go to downtown Hollywood (or maybe to Beverly Hills, across the street from Fox corporate headquarters) and see a simple message writ with block letter font, in white text, on black blackground, in letters 20 feet high - Bring Back Firefly.

Find a pic, fairly large. I'm thinking a column on the side describing the show or movie. Then like those adverts all over the college campuses, put fireflyfans.net down there at the bottom for people to tear off. Anyone who distribites them can snip them so people can rip them off instead of remembering the site. Also, anyone who's pinning them up can add their e-mail address to it if they like.

Just got an idea for those postcards. Gimme a few hours and I'll see what lame thing I can come up with... Working...

I've come up with a color and b/w flyer but can't get it to upload to the blue sun room. Any suggestions?? Anyone, for that matter! These could even work for promoting any shindigs..

Can you upload it somewhere and just post a link?

Or you can e-mail it to me. I'll send you my e-mail address and put it up on my yahoo account.

Hey...thats a great plan...im on the radio in college for the next week so word of mouth will spread...as Mr. Universe said, "cant stop the signal"
We stick together...when the vids are done...if you send them to me, i can use my video class in college to transfer them onto the TV screens in college...would that be helpful?

These are awesome! I'm also glad that you got those mphillips postcards, they rock.
Also, this isn't something that I've done but rather something that I, and others, can use. One of my favorite writers, Mercedes Lackey, has a big old Firefly/Serenity add on her homepage. It made me an even bigger fan of hers. I even bloged about it.

http://www.mercedeslackey.com/

It has occured to me that this is an excellent way to spread the word. Unrelated Fandom. I know quite a few ML fans and they might be more willing to try something that she respects and admires. And I have proof that she does. From there it can spread. No fantasy/sf fan likes just one author and they are very often members of other fan sites and (as we prove) they are often obssessive.
