SUCH A EASY ANSWER: OUT OF GAS! COME ON ITS AMAZING!
Dont you all love the flashbacks, and the chemistry between Malcom and Inara back where she says she will pay a quarter less then the asking price. Just amazing. Now for the rest of you
.
OH, and the Hero of Cantaon the man we call Jayne
Ahead of time,

It has to be 'Our Mrs Reynolds' for it's quick fire
humour and that classic final scene! But really every episode is a work of genius.

Out of Gas, pushing a space captain to limits of which Kirk could only dream.

Out of Gas. It's got a great structure and all of the little character bits from the flashbacks are great. And I really like that it's all a consequence of a choice that Mal made (not replacing the compression coil) it shows how desperate their life is on Serenity. Though as has been said the whole series is great.
For least favorite I would have to say Safe. It's got some great moments but they never really conect into a coherent whole. Scenes just kind of follow each other in a vaguely linear manner but without any central plot developing. Still on a scale of 1 to awesome it's still mostly awesome.

Objects in Space
A really cool and unique story
Ariel would be my second as it showed a lot of would could have been in future episodes

I guess just for the record: Out of Gas. I love the way that whole story was crafted. Two styles of flashbacks, the character evolutions, the framing and camera work; all great. And the ending - perfect.
I also like the two episodes with ties to future episodes: The Train Job (War Stories) and Our Mrs. Reynolds (Trash). I could see Joss having this type of continuation in mind but saying, "we'll wait and bring him/her back next season...the fans will love it!" Wow, I'm glad he didn't wait. I wonder if there isn't a backstory to that also.
I like to view the episode The Message in light of it being the last one filmed (but not the last one aired). Gives it a whole new meaning.

War Stories, definately. On account of a certain villain I enjoy immensely. Not to mention that scene at the end with River and the three goons...wowzers. First time I saw that I was like "holy crap"
Where's the KABOOM?! There was supposed to be an earth-shattering kaboom! *sigh* Delays...delays...

I enjoyed Jaynetown. I especially like the expression and reaction on Jayne's face when he heard that the mudders had a riot on his account.

Well im like new to the series but i loveded the movie so i just had to watch the series. I say I likeded Ariel the most. Hot Maher!!!!!!!!!!
Ariel is my choice due to watching Jayne and the other crew fumble over remebering a simple sentance to say if they are asked anything or are spoken to.
Well that and watching Simon kill himself and River to get into a hospital and then being betrayed by Jayne, man is simon a space case....
One rock.... two eyes.... three Bees
