Halloween is coming up

I have started looking around for a good Shepherd Book costume to wear for Halloween.
I need some really great white hair.
Anybody else have plans to be their favorite Firefly character for Halloween too?

I don't look enough like anyone on the show to be able to sell the look. Besides, I priced riding boots for another costume idea I had years ago (Han Solo). I'll tell you now, they don't give them away.

I went as a preacher one year and ended up paying $40.00 for a black shirt because it was the only one I could find in the stores after months of looking for one. It was a hit, though! You should've seen the looks I got for being all drunk and stumbling, smoking cigarettes dressed up like a Reverend.

If I got my hair cut just before Halloween, I think I could sell a Mal look.

I don't have a brown coat though. Or the right pants....

Well, I'm goin' to the AC Shindig with 4 makeshift costumes most likely... (Kaylee, River, Zoe, and of cours Wash... along with my brown trenchcoat of course!) maybe I'll use one for Halloween!

One could always go as a reaver, of course they might just be mistaken for a goth metal fan, what without the whole flesh munching & sewing thing.

unfortunately none of the crew wears glasses, come to think of it I can only ever remember one sci-fi character who had glasses??? and only wore them for a short bit. I understand there may be more, but this is the only one I remember, he only wore them for a potion of the movie, enough said. any takers on the trivia????

I seem to remember Cap'n Picard wearing glasses in a movie for a short time.
And it's true that I look nothing like Book. I did have the hair going on for a while, but it's been chopped since, and it's no longer so big and fuzzy.

I give up. I never really followed ST. I watch it, TNG and the original, when I catch them on tv, but I can't think of who wore the glasses. You got Firefly plans for Halloween?

i always have a sci-fi themed costume. this year, i'm going to be inara, although i havent' started the costume yet. it wont be ready for AC Shindig, unfortunately. *sigh* but i'll have to try to find stuff to make myself look all fanciful before that...

In "The Wrath of Kahn" Kirk is given a pair of glasses cuz he's getting older and can no longer see as well. As far as the Halloween thing, I never really did it much. Though I did a sweet custome Austin Powers getup once. I'm just posting my way through the boredom of a gorram slow day. It would be sweet if there was a spot to post pics of the various Firefly outfits we all come up with. I might give a shot at Mal, they do a big chili feed at work for Halloween, I'd have to shave my gotee though. 4:06- it's almost over. wow, I ramble...

Daniel Jackson wears glasses a lot on Stargate SG1, particularly in the first two seasons. I think he switched to contacts after that. Or maybe it was his little sarcophagus-binge in "Need" that cured his eyes, come to think of it.
