most I know say that SA is driving distance to both Austin and Houston. It's just long driving distance.

:) its totally driveable, last year or has it been two now? the Houston Crew roadtripped to Austin to meet up with teh Austin Crew, had a blast!

LoneStar Shindig at Apollocon!
Special events include a question and answer session with Greg Edmonson, live performances by Cedric of the Bedlam Bards ( www.bedlambards.com) , a tabletop Serenity RPG game, a Live Action Role Play (LARP) in the 'verse, and one mighty fine shindig Saturday night, a masquerade ball, I understand we will have a copy of keep flying or two on hand, and BWAH! to play with as well. Further special events are in the works and will be posted just as soon as we can!

Hey Artcat, nice to see you've resurected this puppy.....
I'm near Bryan-CS on my little rancho and missin me some Firefly. The Lonestar Shindig sounds like the cure for what ails me. But, unfortunatly, looks like it just ain't in the stars for me.
Me and the crew usually head to the beautiful turd-brown waters of the third coast for a few days of R&R right around the time you guys will be up to your eyeballs in mudders milk or cold brews....
Port A isn't all that far from Space City, but it's gonna be damn hard to drag me off that fishin boat...... so, all i can do is wish you guys all the best... have a great time and keep flyin'

Did i mention many of the ladies (if not all of them) that are involved in the ladies of the browncoats calendar project will also be attending? :p
if you are ever in houston look up our crew we meet at least once usually 2-5 times a month

Plan B - for sure. Thanks for invitation...i will try to get down to meet all you fine folks as soon as possible. BTW...i was born down there, well in Sugarland actually...back when it was spelled "Sugarland' and Imperial Sugar was still in business... a few moons back....be careful dippin your toes in Oyster Creek....probably still a few gators hidin out down there!

I'd love to make it to a Texas Shindig. Trouble is I'm a browncoat but my boss is pure Alliance. Don't want him to send any blue hands after me looking for a sample of my brain tissue.
