I wear mine to school, often. And in SoCal's 90 degre weather no less.
I've yet to get one outsider comment though.
"Putting the Me in Mercinary, Jayne Cobb."
"Joss, what is the future of television? What will we watch? And how will we watch it? Surely you must know, for you are wise, and slender."

If I could get my hands on one (and had the money), I would wear it.
Maybe I'll see if my girlfriend could knit one from scratch.

This style of cap is based on a traditional South American hat called a Chullo, They used to be trendy a few years ago. I still see hippy - ski bums wearing them. I like the bright colors and complex pattern variations.
They are sold on Ebay for $10 US.

I would.
I very would.
Not only do I love fluffy hats, but I don't have many problems with wearing weird stuff (I do things like wear Star Wars shirts in public on Free Dress Days in school). So, yeah, add another tick to the tally: THIS foo would. Totally.
Yub, yub.

I wear mine, though it is not all that warm because it is a single knit layer designed more for costuming (so I don't have a heat stroke during non-winter months).
When not in use, it sit proudly atop a styrofoam head (used for wigs) atop my desk because it is pretty cunning!
BWAH!

Agirlyman- i hope someday you get to experience the wonderful warmth of the heart that comes from being at a con and seeing a sea of 3,000 people, most of whom are wearing orange pompom hats and brown coats.
