There's a related interview with a visual effects supervisor on Firefly as well.

WOO-HOO!

While perhaps not as relevant as a Hugo (its just VFX, after all), this is certainly more high-profile. :D

When the DVDs come out, buy multiple copies. You can send them out as Christmas gifts!

Three episodes of Enterprise I meant not two. And btw have you guys seen the latest spoilers for Enterprise? Just a tad rip off of Firefly.

Congrats to all the fine folk at Firefly!

re Ripoffs: IIRC, this used to happen frequently during Babylon 5 run. DS9/Voyager shows did this shamelessly, borrowing plots and even characters.

be seein' you

Well now, after reading that San Bernardino, Calif. newspaper interview with the SFX dude, we discover this:

Quote -- [Emile Edwin] Smith will be working on the feature film adaptation of "Firefly,'' directed by Joss Whedon and set to go into production early next year."
--End Quote

Hmmm. Things are moving apace on Firefly feature.

be seein' you

That's my favorite part as well. Zoic Studios did an amazing job on a relatively small budget for the show. Imagine what they can do with a little more platinum for a feature film.

YAY! (its a manly yay.....) finally firefly is reconised in some form, has Buffy ever won an emmy? i mean besides make up? guess it goes to show what joss said was right the name of the show really puts off those emmy voters...but lets not dwell on what will never happen and celebrate what did! and also take some time to give fox the finger....sigh happy times...
