Only time I've ever had to scroll left to right is when someone posts a link to a picture that's wider than the layout allows. Everything seems to have a nice liquid layout from what I see. The only scrolling to be done is down the page to the bottom to the latest posts, and while that may seem like an inconvenience, I actually prefer having all the posts for a given thread on one page and seeing them listed in the order they were posted.
I welcome all the new members, but would ask that you give it a week or two, try out the different interface and then make suggestions. Its really just a different style, one you might prefer if you give it a chance.

Don't Universal own the rights to Firefly, now? The Hollywood Reporter article said that.
If that's the case, I wouldn't be suprisied if Fox remove all Firefly stuff as soon as they can, as I'd presume they no longer hold the copyright. It also casts doubts on the DVD release at the moment, I'd presume.

Edit: One thing that has been brought to my attention - The new prospero board reviews posts before they show up, an annoying delay for most people. I'm writing the moderator to see if this can be changed.

I have to scroll horizontally to get the whole message width on my screen, too, and I'm set at 1024x768.
Is there a magic properties item that I've neglected to set?

Are you talking about the taglog, or the messages in a thread, like this one? You might try lower the text size from the view menu of your browser, assuming your using IE.
