I saw a new product at the store the other day that was freaky scary. It was frosted Rice Crispies in a purple box and the picture on the package of the characters 'Snap' 'Krackle' and 'Pop' they looked dememted and scary, and on crack, as if it were a Fruity Oaty product that causes mood changes and not in a good way. I looked for a picture on Kellogg's site just now to paste here, but the product isn't shown on the site. Do you 'spose that means it's really a Blue Sun product slipped in with the regular sheep? Honest! This is not a cereal conspiracy theory, lol. It was real. I'm going to have to go to the store to find out the real name, because 'Krackle' had glowing angry werewolf eyes. And I love a good monster story at the campfire. Hee hee.
Shiny Trees! Yavanna made Shiny Trees!
Aztecs used the term firefly metaphorically, meaning a spark of knowledge in a world of ignorance or darkness.
I know what soft ball is (its what they used to make us girls play in school 'cause they reckoned we couldn't cope with real baseball. I think it was called rounders or something? or is that a different game entirly?
Anyway. Unfortunetly still doesn't meen that I can understand when people talk about it -'what the...? whoothe....? wassatnow? ...mmmmmmmm, doughnuts.....'
yeah.
Oh, Rice Krispies have always had a bunch of crack addicts on the front cover. Ever since I can remember they've been acting wierd (though when you're five you put it down to their being elves) Its only recently that they've taken on this bizarre, slightly kinky air (it may just be age, but there was a t.v. ad where one of them was showing off his stomach, and the look on his face was just down right wrong...)
Or it may just be me being a staunch supporter of Tony the Tiger.

Crack addicts! lol
Well, Seryn, you can come sit by me in the "no sports talk please! We're clueless!" section. We can reminisce about our childhood cereals and the resulting cavities. I remember liking lucky charms quite a bit, but now I can't stand them. And all the monster cereals. Frankenberry, Count Chocula. What was the other one? Boo something? Oh, and the one that was little mini chocolate chip cookies. Coooookie crisp! With the dog! We didn't get to eat those kinds of cereals that often, so it was always a special treat.

Sugar puffs!
sugar puffs are my down fall, to this day I could still get a box and just start eating them, with or with out milk, till the box was empty.
the rest of the time we did eat mostly rice crispies (the fake supermarket own ones - my mum didn't believe in 'brands') or shreddies, like little malt crosshatches, but it was always a race against time to eat them before they went soggy. Cause soggy cereal is yucky.
my niece has thsoe cookie ones - she has about 7 or 8 of them with out milk and then fills up on bananas, grapes and apple slices (no, I don't know which planet she's from either) so we're not to worried about the sugar thing as she has so few. My one lingering memory of breakfast in america (apart from the eating of muffins and doughnuts before lunchtime) is how sweet your cereals are, even sweeter than ours, and thats saying something.
Theres this huge health thing going on at the moment, the ingredients listings and sugar, alt and fat contents are all being printed on the fronts of boxes and stuff, are you guys being badgered into healthyness at all?

oh yeah, everything is like that here. "O grams Trans Fat!" "As always, a low fat food!" "High in Fiber!" "Only 3 grams of carbs!"
Everything is labelled. Even candybars and junk food. Boxes of kraft macaroni & cheese claaim to be an excellent source of calcium. Hershey's chocolate syrup is a "low fat food" (nevermind the 50billion grams of sugar!)
Fortunately, I am too smart and savvy to be taken in by such stupid ploys. I read the ingredient lists of my foods and know exactly what all the crap they put in it is.

My favorite was Captain Crunch. It would rip the roof of my mouth apart, but they were yummy!
Nowadays, it's oatmeal for me.
Seee? No sports talk.

mmmm, Captian Crunch....yum
So it iced and snowed. yay! Got out and walked to the bakery this morning. It was very cold. very cold. The lady laughed at my pinkness when I opened the door. I guess I was her first customer. But it was worth it. I like the cold crispy air and the crunching of snow beneath my feet.
I wish I lived someplace it snowed more than twice a year. This is not enough for a good fight or a snowman. *pouts* Ah well. Such is life. *makes plans to move elsewhere*

I like that it doesn't snow here. Wish I was somewhere warmer. Further south. Fiji would be nice. Good water.

*pouts* yeah, we don't get real snow, especially being on the coast, we get minescule dustings and then soggy grey slush. (which is still apparently enough to shut the whole country down.
every single day I see and hear more and more that make me want to move to Canada. I have the skills to find a job there (Vancouver still has T.V. shows filmed there doesn't it?) I just don't have the money to prove I can support myself until I do.
Are there any strapping Canadian men willing to marry me for a few years? I can't cook, but I can entertain you with countless renditions of the theme tune to Quantum Leap and regular hi-larious prat-falls...
No takers? oh well.
