Does anyone have any information on the release of a Special Edition of Serenity? I just read on a post about an exceedingly shiny Australian Spcl Ed that was released in a sweet tin collector's box. Where can I find one of those, aside from actually going to Australia which I won't be doing until May.
I need to buy a second (or third) copy of our BDM to loan out to the yet-unconverted (we've gotta have new recruits after all) but I'd really like to have a keeper copy on the shelf.
Any thoughts 'Coats?

If and when it is released I will definitely buy it. Serenity is one of the first Universal films that will be released on the new HD-DVD format, but the date for that has not been announced yet. I'll even buy that version even though it might be a while before I would have a unit capable of playing it. Ideally, they will release a regular DVD special edition at the same time.

There are only rumors right now. Nothing official on it yet.
Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

GORRAM! The Australian set is ruttin' incredible! I can't believe all the exclusives in this set. When are we gonna get this in the states? I just wish international purchases weren't so dicey on ebay... Check this out:

Thanks for the information on that. Shiny!
I wish I were an Aussie right now. But I'll have to wait and see what I can come up closer to me.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess this won't play on an American DVD player? I'd almost considering importing it just for that tin, either way.

I got mine from ezydvd last week and it's definitely worth it for the extras that we don't get here. There are quite a few cheap dvd players that you can get that can be hacked with a few key combos on the remote. You may alrady have one that can be hacked. You can check here...

I have mine, too, and the tin box and extra features are definitely shiny.
You can play it on your PC without any problems. You can also make a non-regionalized copy of the CD. It's only your TV that will choke on the PAL format video.

I don't disagree on any particular point.

Double post -- does that mean I'm twice the fan?

Thanks for the region-free advice. Now I want to get a new DVD player...sheesh...
