GAAAAAAAAAAAH! Now I won't be able to focus at school....(Not that I need to. Subordinating conjunctions? -Seriously-?)
Every single Firefly fan at my school is gonna be squealing through class...3 squealing teachers, 14 squealing students...
Hehe. This is gonna be interesting.

Captain Reynolds never touched me, all he did was rent me a shuttle and be very, very annoying!

Let's all (try to )relax now Browncoats. Rumors remain rumors until we hear it from the man, Joss, we shouldn't get too far ahead of ourselves. If I am not mistaken Joss is writing scripts for 2 movies right (Goners and Wonderwoman) now along with other misc projects I'm sure. The fanbase is here and we are still growing. We've already done the impossible, I think it can happen again. Just have faith and be patient all! I'm sure we'll see Firefly in one form or another as long as the fans remain loyal and keep recruiting.

Looks like they'll make it just in time. You know what that'll make them?

"Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies" -- One of the best lines in any movie (Shawshank Redemption). I have to hope and keep hoping. Even if this is a rumor, it is a good rumor, and something we should get behind. Maybe we can turn this rumor into fact by showing how much interest it generates. I can't find a site for the CW Network, it may be too new. But, I've found other articles indicating that CW is already making programming decisions (they are cutting "Cult", a new show the WB had just signed for development, and keeping an "Aquaman" pilot that is a "Smallville" spinoff). So, they are probably looking to fill their hours with unique shows that have a fanbase. There is no better show than "Firefly" and look at the devotion of it's fans!
We need to find a way to email the CW to let them know they have our interest.

Yet Joss did not mention anything about this possibilty in his post on Whedonesque recently. You think he would have at least hinted if this rumor had any basis in fact.
Until I get something resembling official confirmation I will not hold my breath.

With every penny I throw into a wishing well, with every birthday candle I blow out, with every wishbone I yank in half, I will wish that this series comes back. But must not get hopes up. Too late.......UGH

perhaps not wanting to cry wolf if the deal doesn't work out too well.
if it doesn't happen and he's announced that it would, it's a lot harder on us than if it turns south and all we've heard is a rumor like this one.
I actually think that it would make sense for the CW to take this on. They will undoubtedly carry over popular shows from UPN and WB, but it's a new network, and they want their own audience. they can either make a few police dramas and FBI mysteries (and compete with every single other one out there) or they can start taking less known shows like firefly that the older networks don't need, and begin carving out their own audience.
